The album THOSE DAYS ARE OVER is a recent cross-media collaboration of two renowned artists: Singer, performer and composer Mona Mur transforms 15 poems, written by photographer, writer and filmmaker Miron Zownir, into deeply disturbing "Poetronica" revealing a cynical “outsider” perspective onto the many superficial surfaces of our existence.
Mona Mur, whose musical career began in the early 1980s, created an absorbing, mysterious soundscape with the setting of Miron Zownir's English-language poems, absorbing the idiosyncratic expressiveness of the poet with her mystic voice and her musical compositions full of powerful melancholy and provocative wildness.

THOSE DAYS ARE OVER ist eine Cross-Media Kollaboration zweier Berliner Künstler. Mur und Zownir sind Gleichgesinnte mit leidenschaftlicher Vorliebe für Originalität, die sich über kurz oder lang scheinbar finden mussten und ihr Potenzial in ihrer aktuellen künstlerischen Zusammenarbeit über die Formen hinweg demonstrieren.
Mona Mur, deren musikalische Karriere Anfang der 80er Jahre mit ihrer New Wave Punkband “Mona Mur & Die Mieter“ (mit Gode, Mark Chung, FM Einheit und Alexander Hacke) begann, schuf mit der Vertonung von Miron Zownirs englischsprachigen Gedichten einen absorbierenden, geheimnisvollen Klangkosmos, in dem sie die eigenwillige Ausdruckskraft des Dichters mit ihrer unverkennbaren Stimme und musikalischen Kompositionen in kraftvoller Melancholie und provozierender Wildheit verschmelzen lässt.
Die 15 Gedichte des Fotografen, Schriftsteller und Filmemachers Miron Zownir, dem Stanley Kubriks Drehbuchautor Terry Southern den Beinamen „Poet of Radical Photography“ verlieh, verwandelt Mona Mur in variationsreiche „Poetronica“, die innere und äußere Welten offenbart und selbstbewusst den durchaus zynischen Blickwinkel eines abstandhaltenden Außenseiters einnimmt, der unseren oberflächlichen Zeitgeist enttarnt... Mona Mur is a vocalist of her own class, songwriter, music producer and 80s survivor. Together with Alexander Hacke, FM Einheit, Mark Chung (all of Einstürzende Neubauten) and organ virtuoso Nikko Weidemann responsible for underground hits such as Snake, 120 Tage or Eintagsfliegen.
She first graced the music scene with the 12” Jeszcze Polska.
